Bradenton resident loses $53K in property in burglary HERALD STAFF REPORT MANATEE -- A Bradenton resident lost about $53,000 in property in a burglary on Monday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. The break-in happened sometime between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. at a residence in the 6300 block of Fifth Street West. The burglar or burglars forced their way in through a rear bedroom window and ransacked four rooms, according to a news release. Deputies collected fingerprints, as well as blood near where the intruder or intruders entered, according to the report.
